San Bernardino County firefighters rescued a 23-year-old woman with cerebral palsy from a burning home Monday.
Fire crews responded to the fire around 11 a.m. at a residence where the victim was trapped inside. Her mother alerted firefighters to her daughter’s location.
With flames spreading rapidly and thick smoke filling the home, Fire Captain Nick Turner and Firefighter Jesse Quicen entered the home to conduct a search for the victim. They ultimately located the woman in her bed, KCAL reports.
A second crew arrived and broke open a window in the woman’s bedroom so they could lift her out to safety.
