Youngstown (OH) House Fire Kills Five-Year-Old Boy

A house fire in Youngstown Sunday killed a 5-year-old boy.

The fire broke out in the early morning hours, and when firefighters arrived and conducted a primary search they discovered discovered the boy hiding in a closet, WKBN reports.

The boy was extricated and transported to the hospital, but died of his injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the home was being heated entirely with space heaters.
