Lieutenant, San Antonio (TX) Fire Department

JIM REIDY has been in the San Antonio (TX) Fire Department since 1988; he is a lieutenant on Ladder 46-A. He has been a San Antonio Fire Department & Local 624 Personal Protective Equipment Committee member since 1990 and its chairman since 2000. He is a member of the Tool and Equipment Committee, Apparatus Committee, and the Uniform Commissary Committee. He has chaired the Texas Commission on Fire Protection-Firefighter Advisory Committee since 2007. He is a principal member of the National Fire Protection Association Technical Committee on Structural and Proximity Firefighter Protective Clothing and Equipment; NFPA 1971, and NFPA 1851. He is a Texas Commission on Fire Protection master firefighter, fire officer 1, instructor 1, and task force leader/strike team leader-Texas Forest Service; and a Texas Department of State Health Services licensed paramedic. He has a bachelor’s of business degree from Western Illinois University. He is a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 624 (San Antonio) and the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters.
