Chief Todd J. LeDuc (Ret) retired as assistant fire chief for Broward County, FL. Fire Rescue after serving for nearly 30 years.. Chief LeDuc joined Life Scan Wellness Centers as their Chief Strategy Officer. Life Scan Wellness Centers provides NFPA 1582 compliant and comprehensively integrated early detection physicals to some 35,000 firefighters and law enforcement officers in 20 States. Chief LeDuc holds a masters degree in Fire Service Organizational Leadership, is a credentialed Chief Fire Officer and holds Fellow status in the Institute of Fire Engineers. He is a peer reviewer for both agency accreditation and professional credentialing. He is the Secretary of the International Association of Fire Chef’s Safety, Health & Survival Section. Chief LeDuc is the Editor of the soon to be released Fire Engineering book, entitled, Surviving the Fire Service. He also serves on editorial advisory boards, FEMA research studies, and the First Responder Center of Excellence.
