Firefighters rescued a man from a house fire in Antioch, Illinois, on Tuesday morning, and area fire photographer Tim Olk shared some pictures from the fireground.

According to The Chicago Tribune, Antioch Fire Department received a call at 5:19 a.m. for a residential fire with a person still inside. The first engine crew on the scene reported heavy fire on three sides of the building and heavy smoke throughout.

Without hydrants in the area, a fourth alarm was called to bring tankers and personnel from surrounding departments.

“Those firefighters took a beating in that room with the smoke and heat,” said Chris Lienhardt, fire department spokesman. “Everything came together and it paid a huge dividend.”
