Big Moose, New York –  Recently the Big Moose Fire Co. and Big Moose Ambulance Co. received a $1,000 donation from Dave Peterson, of Fourth Lake and Boonville, to install a new Camoplast track on its Rescue Snowmobile.

The Snowmobile is used to tow the Big Moose Ambulance Rescue Sled and the Big Moose Fire Co. Fire Sled on EMS, Fire and Rescue calls in their service area.

The Rescue Sled is equipped with an EMS equipment bag, Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED), Backboard, Stokes Basket and other rescue equipment.

The Fire Sled is equipped with a 150 gallon per minute water pump, ice augur, fire hose, chain saw and other firefighting equipment.

The installation of the Camoplast track with deeper treads and spikes enable the Snowmobile to tow heavier loads on steeper grades much more effectively.

The manufacturer of the track provided $150 to cover part of the cost of installation and Big Moose Yamaha, of Eagle Bay, provided the installation at no cost to Big Moose Ambulance and Fire.
