Colorado Springs (CO) firefighters used a ladder truck to remove a bear from a tree after it had been tranquilized on Sunday.
A state wildlife division spokesman told the Associated Press (http://bit.ly/13I9iTz) that a wildlife officer and firefighters put a harness around the sleeping bear, which weighed between 150 and 200 pounds, and lowered the animal to the ground as it dangled from the ladder.
A photo from the incident shows a firefighter up on the ladder as the harnessed bear is being removed.
The bear was released 100 miles away from the area.
