Presented by: Clinton Crafton, Deputy Chief Operations (RET), Whitestown Fire Department
The focus of this webcast will be on taking a common sense approach to technical rescue calls that can be mitigated with equipment that is already on the first due apparatus. Working with ingenuity, teamwork, an understanding of physics and safety, and some basic skills training, any fire crew can mitigate common rescues that often intimidate smaller agencies. The discussion will equip rescuers with the knowledge and skills to approach these incidents with a divergent thinking mindset and the ability to begin the rescue process (or effect a successful rescue) while awaiting resources that may be coming from a considerable distance away.
