Three people sustained nonlife-threatening injuries yesterday in a fiery crash involving a semi trailer in Deerfield, Illinois. Fire photographer Tim Olk shared some images of crews working at the scene.

The crash occurred around 12:53 p.m. Thursday, according to WLS. police say a Buick SUV lost control, crossing in front of the semi-truck, causing it to hit the driver’s side of the Buick. The Buick and truck then struck the concrete median, causing the truck to roll over onto its side and catch fire. Another vehicle was also struck in the crash. Good Samaritans at the scene helped pull an unconscious occupant from the SUV.

Off-duty Chicago firefighter Patrick Fahrenbach said a woman also blocked traffic with her car, a critical move that cleared a path for arriving firefighters.
