Firefighters Rescue 4 from Burning Brooklyn (NY) Home

Firefighters rescued four people trapped on the upper floors of their burning home in Brooklyn, New York, according to a report from The Daily News.

The three-alarm fire reportedly began in the cellar and burned upwards, forcing the occupants, all members of the same family, to flee into the attic. Two children exited a window and jumped down to a second-floor landing while their parents remained on the structure’s third floor. Firefighters used a ladder to rescue all the occupants.

The two children were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries. The fire extended to an adjacent six-floor apartment building.
