Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters rescued a family of six from an apartment fire last week in Brooklyn, New York.

The fire occurred August 2 in the East Flatbush section of the borough.

The battalion chief ordered the first-due units to conduct a rapid primary search, which proved positive for a victim; they victims were found in the front living room at the window. He determined that the family was going to panic and jump from their apartment building.

A truck company threw their aerial to the window, and the chief had the units bring the victims out of the front door.
