IAFC/FEMA hold worldwide conference on terrorism

The first nationwide conference on terrorism, sponsored by the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and held in November 1995, was attended by two-person teams from more than 75 of the largest metropolitan fire departments in the United States. Case studies on terrorism preparedness and response were presented by the United States (New York City, New York, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma); Israel; London, England; Northern Ireland; Paris, France; and Tokyo, Japan.
