IN Assistant Fire Chief Killed in Tanker Truck Rollover

An accident involving a tanker truck has claimed the life of an assistant fire chief and left another firefighter injured in Randolph County, Indiana.

The accident early Thursday killed Kyle T. Osgood, assistant chief of the Farmland Volunteer Fire Department, according to the Muncie Star Press.

Assistant Chief Osgood was reportedly driving en route to a barn fire along Randolph County Road 1000-W near County Road 400-N when the tanker rolled over, coming to rest atop him and fellow firefighter Zachary Lee, 19.

Firefighter Lee was seriously injured and transported via medical helicopter to a medical facility.
