Knox County (TN) Firefighters Respond to Patient Pinned in Vehicle by Tree Branch

Rural Metro (TN) firefighters and Knoxville Volunteer Rescue Squad members responded to an incident in which a woman was trapped in her car by a tree branch.

According to a release from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the 20-year-old patient was pulling out of her driveway Monday when a tree fell on her vehicle and a branch went through her windshield, pinning her leg. Sheriff’s officers arrived on scene around 5:14 p.m.

Crews responded and extricated her from the vehicle. The patient was transported, and the extent of her injuries is not known. An infant in the back seat was no harmed.
