MA Girl Succumbs After Being Rescued from Fire by Firefighters

A 15-year-old girl died Wednesday morning after her rescue from a Tuesday house fire in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

After frantic rescue attempts by civilians on scene, Gloucester firefighters finally managed to rescue the girl from the fire, according to a report on boston.com (http://bo.st/12KSPfk).

A report from the state fire marshal said the fire was accidental. Combustible materials came into contact with a lamp in the second-floor bedroom of the victim’s 17-year-old brother and then ignited. The victim was believed to be asleep when the fire broke out.
