An information kit from Kaman Corp. describes the K-MAX™, a helicopter specifically designed for vertical-lift applications and suited for all high-altitude work. K-MAX™ employs unique intermeshing “synchro-lift” rotor technology. The aircraft has counter-rotating main motors and no tail rotor, so all engine power goes directly to the rotors for lift.
