MO Departments Perform Horse Rescue in Frozen Pond

Warrenton (MO) – On December 19 at 1134 hours, Warrenton Fire Protection District crews responded to a report of two horses that fell through a frozen pond.

Crews arrived on-scene to find two horses in the middle of the pond. Crews used a chainsaw to cut the ice so that the horses were able to walk to land.

When the horses exited the water they appeared to be in good health. Great job by all crews, and special thanks to the Wright City Fire Protection District for their assistance.
