Ocala (FL) Fire Rescue Names Assistant Chief

Ocala (FL) Fire Rescue announces that Brian Stoothoff has been promoted to the position of assistant fire chief. Serving the city of Ocala since 1982, Stoothoff has previously served in the positions of firefighter, paramedic, fire equipment operator, captain, public educator, battalion chief, and public information officer.

“I believe he’s going to do a tremendous job,” stated Fire Chief Bradd Clark. “He is going to pull ideas from the department and bring them to the forefront as we continue to do great things” he added.

Chief Stoothoff will oversee the operations division. The agency has 145 employees and was established in 1885.
