RAE Systems Software Enables Interoperability Among Responders

Multiple hazmat/emergency response teams can see toxic gas threat data pertaining to the same incident, regardless of their locations, when using RAE Systems Pro RAE Guardian Software, thanks to a built-in cascading feature. This technology, which also allows real-time wireless monitoring, consolidates threat data from hundreds of different types of monitors deployed at different situations to a mobile command center for safety officers to view at their fingertips.

Experts on response and containment of specific toxic compounds can view and analyze readings remotely from anywhere in the world in real time.

This technology can save lives by sending location and threat data to a mobile command center anywhere in the world. At the command centers, safety managers and incident commanders can view and share the information in real time. In fact, anyone with access to the Internet and the secure log-in key can log in and view the updated gas, radiation, and personal (physiological and GPS readings from people wearing the RAE Systems BioHarness) information about the facility or incident. The BioHarness readings can be evaluated in the ProRAE Guardian software and coupled with a variety of other safety sensor readings including detected volatile organic compounds, gases, chemical warfare agents, and radiation, for early detection and characterization of hazardous atmospheres. The nonintrusive, lightweight chest-worn strap incorporates electrocardiogram, breathing rate, temperature, posture, and activity sensors for real-time portable physiological monitoring. This allows safety officers to quickly access and monitor a person’s bioreadings and remove the person from a fatigue situation if the readings are high.
