South Carolina Rescue Truck Hit by Vehicle

A fire truck was struck by a car Wednesday night in Anderson County, South Carolina, and the apparatus driver became entrapped and had to be extricated.

Piercetown Fire Chief Andrew Massey said that his fire department was responding to assist a motorist when an SUV plowed into the back of a stopped rescue truck, according to WYFF.

The driver of the SUV and the apparatus driver were both hospitalized.
