VFIS videotape addresses catastrophe response

“Surviving Catastrophe in Emergency Services” videotapes of a VFIS International Critical Incident Stress Foundation April teleconference are available. The teleconference, part of the 3rd World Congress on stress, trauma, and coping in the emergency services professions, features a panel consisting of firefighters, law enforcement agents, emergency medical personnel, nurses, disaster workers, fire chaplains, and international stress experts. Among topics covered are mitigating the impact of catastrophes on operation personnel, recovering from the devastation caused by a disaster, and the agony associated with a line-of-duty death.

Tapes ($30 for non-VFIS clients, $15 for VFIS clients, including shipping and handling) may be ordered from VFIS, P.O. Box 2726, York, PA 17405; only checks and money orders will be accepted. More information is available from Tamela Bourne at (800) 233-1957 or (717) 741-0911.
