A new video dealing with firefighter response to emergencies involving electric vehicles is now available on YouTube. Presented by vehicle rescue instructor Brock Archer and featuring the Tesla Model S, the training video will help first responders learn how to operate safely at any incident involving Tesla’s new Model S sedan.
“Similar to new building construction features, new vehicle features create new challenges for rescuers; with all the new electric and hybrid vehicles on the roadways, high-voltage components have become a new concern for rescuers,” Brock Archer said.
The video features Fremont (CA) firefighters using the Jaws of Life tools on a new Model S that was donated by Tesla Motors, which is based in the city. You can watch the 37-minute video in its entirety in the player below.
