The West Bloomfield Township (MI) Fire Department has recently taken delivery of a 2015 custom HME rescue-pumper. Built on a HME 1871-SFO/SFO-MFD cab and chassis with 12-inch raised roof and powered by a Cummins ISL9 350-hp engine with a 3000EVS Allison transmission, this fire truck combines a 1,500-gpm Hale Q-Max pump with exclusive HME Hydra Technology™. Other features include a Kussmaul “Pump Plus” 40-amp charger and air compressor; 20-amp auto eject; LED interior lighting package; David Clark 3800 intercom system; dual roof-mounted spotlights; cab-mounted EMS cabinet; a 24-inch extended bumper with a recessed Federal Q2B siren, dual Stutter Tone air horns, and dual 1.5-inch front jumplines; a 6-kW Harrison hydraulic generator; Hannay cable reel; Hale Foamlogix 2.1A foam system with HME “Mad Dog” CAFS system; a 30-gallon foam cell, and a 700-gallon polypropylene “L” tank. The stainless steel body features roll-up doors; a Ziamatic hydraulic ladder rack; and shelves, pull-out trays, and tool boards throughout.
