Sacramento (CA) Fire Department Extinguishes Six Grass Fires

Several fire engines responded to the spot fires, extinguishing six fires, reports The Sacramento Bee.

Investigators are also at the scene due to the “suspicious circumstances” of having six separate fires start in the same area in a short time span. A spokesman said this could be indicate that the fires were either intentionally set as in an arson, or that a fire sparked and spread quickly due to heavy winds in the region.

In the Bay Area, evacuations have been ordered as a fast-moving wildfire continues to spread, and numerous California customers are dealing with power outages intended to reduce fire risk.
